Single item without VAT

Is there anyway to make a single product have no VAT in the price?
My Customer has a couple of products he doesn't want to charge VAT for...

Yes on the details tab on the product itself, custom tax is available.

To be precise, on Product details tab select a tax rate of either "Zero-rated" or "Exempt" depending on which applies to the product. Either option will mean that no VAT is applied.
