    Orderscript.pl woes... I think.

Once again I have may have managed to break Actinic and mash my brain in the process.
    Quick bit of background.
Sales have dropped through the floor recently so I have been burning the midnight oil to uncover where people are bailing out and why the traffic has stopped flowing as strongly as it used to.

In Actinic I have been modifying and improving the checkout process using proven techniques culled from the AUG and this astonishingly good forum. However I may have messed up the orderscript.pl.

The problem is in Firefox the browser stops responding when trying to move from checkout page 0 to checkout page 1 at this URL https://secure.exoticandoriental.co....in/os000002.pl
    In IE7 it works perfectly.
As I understand it os000002.pl is created by orderscript.pl. although I may be wrong.

So my question is simply have I cocked up the Orderscript.pl or is Firefox 2.0.0.9 causing the problem?

I just tried and got through to your secure pages OK with FF 2.0.0.9. Perhaps it's a problem at your end.

I could get through each page but I was experiencing terrible intermittent performance issues.
e.g. To get to checkout0 was like treacle, to get to checkout1 was fine, checkout2 was terrible as again...... it seems like your secure server is struggling to serve the checkout pages at a stable performance level.

        Thanks chaps.
I have contacted the hosts and everything at their end is working as it should. They have highlighted two errors in the analytics coding on the checkout pages, courtesy of Firebug,
        - reference to undefined property "utmi"
        > - utmordernumber is not defined
so I guess that is where I am going next, removing, checking and re-installing the analytics into the checkout pages.
Obviously this would also explain why analytics isn't recording every sale.

If you break the Perl the untainted files are available in C:\Program Files\Actinic v8\Original

            Cracked it!
Removed the offending analytics code and the checkout is now working perfectly. I'll reload the analytics very, very carefully next week. Many thanks for all your help. It is truly appreciated.
