i am running actinic version 8 and would like to print labels and email my customers with details of any offers that we may have, can anyone help me with this.

Look in the Actinic Help for "Mailing List". There you'll find a link to a page that shows you how to import these lists into assorted email programs.

Printing labels - If you mean batch label printing of your customers then exporting from the "Markteting | Mailing List" menu will get you a CSV file of customers which you can use in a mail merge for printing labels. MS Word and MS Excel work together to make this function very simple.

Email customers - Actinic does not "mass mail" your customers, however there are many, many email marketing tools out there ranging from free to very expensive. These programs usually take a list of emails (e.g. same as CSV exported in above example) and let you mass mail an email message to all these email addresses.

Haggers you are not alone...

I've been trying to work this one out too. And have got the file saved (I took the Microsoft option). That bit is fine; but am struggling to get workable data into Excel. It all came in, kind of like a 'lump' - not workable... I would like to get in and tidy it up before I do a mail merge for labels.

Did you crack it Haggers?

When you import into Excel, it will ask if the import file is separated with comma, tabs or similar. Tell it the correct answer and you will see it separate into the relevant columns

Or you could go to the printing options on the preview tab in the mailing list dialog and choose the label or envelope format.

Cracked it!

Now all in Excel -so simple when you know how. I will have a look at your tip too Jan.
