Information between products

I know I can use a non buying product to show between each product to produce what I want but is there a better way

What I would like to do is, between say every two products, to have a line or two of text with possibly a hyperlink, to offer a additional upsale, It would be nice if each section had it's own info if you get what I mean and you only had to enter the details once or twice.

The way round this Chris is to create a cut down product layout, so it acts as a product but looks like a fragment. You then get the link facility as normal and position it like a normal product. Just duplicate an existing product layout and remove all the stuff you will not need. Title, description and extended links is about it. You can also have extended links for more in depth info and images if required.
