I'd like to see the Store sections on the dry Eyes site in alphabetical order, i also think the top banner/graphic should be bue/green and not grey. Grey makes me think uncomfortable eyes - blue/green makes me think bright healthy eyes
Croccy said in a sheilas manner what i said as a caveman, thanks Croccy, i now understand what i was trying to say also.
At the end of the day, she is paying me so I can't afford to piss her off by nagging!
Of course the real solution is to do it fluid, then it becomes multi res.
if you do go fluid then beware the clean css theme has to be modified to make the checkout work for 800 - out of the box this theme loses stuff under the right column

I started off doing it fluid but it's a small site and looks lost on a widescreen monitor.
Think I've probably talked her round to doing it for 1024 now. Mind you, it looks strange now I'm so used to seeing it narrowed down!
I have sorted the link on front page and delivery for Dry Eyes site.
I will change to a 1024 layout, increase text size (something I had wanted to do, but avoided as I didn't think it would fit with the 800 width, but that problem is solved).
I will also have alook at the colour scheme and logos.
Unfortunately I can't blame any of this on the client as I only design and build for myself. Maybe I should get somone else to do it, but I enjoy it so much that it seems a shame to farm it out, but maybe I will consider getting the base design done by somone else and then I can tweak the content.
To be honest, the only real recipe for a sucess is to employ a graphic designer to produce a layered image as a base design, then use your actinic skills/developer to build the site.
IMO someone who is skilled to build an actinic site is very very rarely also a good graphic designer. Best to split the task and create a good site.

Never a more apt comment made....well stated Jo.
It all comes back to the old argument, developer or designer, which one are you? (retorical)...
I fully agree with ensuring (as long as the client budget can meet this of course) that the right hats for the right peeps is the way to go and a quality GD can add unforecastable value to a store...
