can you show product reference for account holders only?

does anyone know if you can you show product reference for account holders only?

as I do not want my end users seeing the part numbers.
I cannot use made up reference numbers for the products as it would be too long winded to relate it on the CRM program that we use.

does anyone know? .... anybody?

Yes it's possible and something along those lines is detailed in the AUG, you just need to change it to suit your needs.

Hi Lee, I have had a look already and I could not find anything, I can stop all users from seeing the references but I need the account customers to see them, can you point me in the right direction?

There is code in the AUG to show registered customers certain things and unregistered customers not. You just need to apply that logic to product references in your product layout. At least that is my initial thought when i think about your problem and what i would try first.
