Error when trying to add product to cart

When I try to add any product to the cart I get the error message:

The following product(s) can not be added to the cart.
You can find the error description(s) by following the link(s).

    With the error description:

Quantity: The maximum quantity allowed to be ordered for this product is 1.

I've searched the forum and tried the solutions to similar problems, but I can't seem to resolve this problem.

I still get an error if I change the quantity to allow more than one.

    Thanks in advance

Quick question. Have you set the maximum quantity on the product to be 1?

Where do you set the maximum quantity?

If it is only affecting 1 product, Click on the product, then the details tab, the MAX MIN is top left of this window.

It is effecting all products as far as I can see, haven't had time to try adding every product to the cart.

Is the "Order quanitity always one" box ticked?

Darren, I did read through that link, but I can't even add a single item, even when the quantity is 1.

Ideally the maximum quantity should be 1 as a lot of the stock is pre-owned so we only have one of each product.

I've tried changing the "Order quantity always one" option, yet no matter whether it is ticked or unticked, when I try to add a product to the cart I get either:

Quantity: The maximum quantity allowed to be ordered for this product is 1.

                  or

Quantity: The quantity must be a whole number between 1 and 32767.

                          Tracey - I'm using 8.5.1.0.0.0.HFUA
Darren - I've done Help > Troubleshooting and then "Web Site Purge and Refresh" So should I do this again or access the server using an FTP client and just delete everything after changing the perl script id?

Thanks for your help so far people

I just deleted everything off the server, changed the perl script id, and then reuploaded.

The problem is still there. Any suggestions?
