    Actinic Link - Sage 50 2008

Actinic link will not curently 'talk' to Sage 50 2008.

A support ticket response would not even indicate an estimate of when this might be.

Can anyone from Actinic suggest what sort of timeframe we are looking at for this?

Sage have produced new versions of their software many times in the past, surely this cannot have been a shock and there is some sort of schedule.

    Regards

This verson of sage is not compatible with Actinic I am afraid.

I have raised this many times and am certain they will build it into a later version, v9 maybe.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news....

Unfortunately, we get the new software at the same time as you do - and this particular version has proved a nightmare to update Link for as there are loads of changes with regards to Vista security and UAC (User Account Control).

We are on the home stretch of the development now, but I can't give you an ETA at the moment. Sorry about the wait.

        Thanks for the info

        Thanks Chris,

At least I know that it is being worked towards. All I had from my support ticket is that it was 'way off'

I wonder if you could disturb the developers and glean an estimate - even a stab in the dark...

Are we looking at 2 months, 6 months, 18 months?

          Definitely the first option.

            Thanks Chris

            Brilliant,

I feel much happier now - How will I know when it is ready for release? - I don't suppose a Beta version is available?

The bit we could really do with at this stage is the Sage to Actinic bit - just pulling over the basic product/section details.
