hi

in version 7 I have been happily using the advance links with the old [LINK] box , the text field had a image source and alt text like view PDF and the url had http:// blah blah blah .com target="_blank" rel="nofollow"

all was fine, working well click the link image a nice new window would open
happy chappy.

then i thought one day lets up grade v8 .

my links stopped working

hover over the target= would appear in the web address

had to strip all the target= and nofollows out to get them working again
short term fix.

how ever no new window opens ?? it opens in the same window how daft is that, how many people need that

I really need a answer that hard code a target= some where i have tried but i cant seem to work it out.

any one please. i have over 1000 links and pdfs so a quick fix please

Answered many times. Try searching for link in new window or similar.

I did (searching V8 forums only) and found the answer within 30 seconds. And now I'm going to let you do the same!

Frightening really isn't it, but a funny comeback. I've always thought that the spelling and grammar on a post, give you so many clues on how much you can help.

in all honesty, I'd have overlooked them.
It was the attitude that pissed me off, especially when (having seen the OP had been forum searching, from looking at the "who's online" page) I was ready with a thread url to paste with the answer!

Now Now - you should be nice to forum members - especially new ones who cannot be bothered to search for an answer. You have nothing better to do with your time so you should be there helping them make money and growing thier business.

Its interesting to see members who told me off for saying the exact same thing now saying it themselves
