Hidden main product, components still visible

Hi folks

I have a product (can of oil) which is also available as an optional extra with other products

The extra is setup as a component, assigned to an "associated product" (ie the can of oil)


Problem is, whenever the main product is hidden, the components are still active and can still be put into the cart and purchased.
Is there anyway of "hiding" these components at the same time as hiding the main product ?
Otherwise I have to go into many products and manually remove the component - not ideal really !

I will have to add this to the wish list as quite a few users have hidden products that are available as options elsewhere on the site and is used extensively.
