Google friendly sitemap

I have tried to submit the Actinic generated sitemap for my site to Google via their Webmster Tools but am advised that it is not in a compatible format:

www.blackironmongery/acatalog/sitemap.html

How do I change this to be compatible with Google

We use the site suggested by LOS, great tool had a .xml file uploaded and waiting for Google to deal with it withing minutes.

If you are bothering with sitemaps it's time to work on directory submissions, linkbuilding and the like. Just don't do it too fast...

The submission of sitemaps to Google is a well discussed subject as they have been known to harm your rankings - search the forum and make your own mind up.
