    No Confirmation Email

Up until a few days ago, when a customer places an email on my website I no longer get the "Catalog Order Received" email. I've checked my settings and nothing's change and I really can't understand what's happened here. Any ideas anyone??

    Thanks.

    - run a network test
    - check your error.err log
    - place a test order and make sure you get the relevant emails
    - check your spam filter

I've run a network test, there is no error and I get the message "if the email address I've supplied is correct I should get a test email shortly". The address is correct but still I don't recieve anything.

Even when I do a test order it don't get any emails through, however the emails work when I send them from Actinic, like the order shipped emails etc. I've even tried changing the address I put into actinic and still no joy.

        Fasthosts, Norton or AOL?

Which one(s) do you use, got to be one of them?

            Psychic Lee strikes again!
            or is that Psycho Lee?

I guess you'll either need to search the forum for other Fasthosts users settings or contact Fasthosts and see if they've changed anything lately.

Fasthosts have recently made some global changes to those passwords not changed by users after they emailed asking you to change your passwords. There was a major security breach as i understand and their whole system has had to be reset. Anyone that ignored their email had their password auto changed and is now struggling to get through to them to find it out. 50% of people are probably affected.

It's got a great chance they have changed something, it has an even greater chance that they will always be a pain in the backside. If you are anywhere near to a hosting renewal, get out now and do yourself a favour. For every 2 positive Fasthost stories with actinic, i have heard 20-30 bad ones. Problematic at best.
