Locked Out of Actinic

Hi

I'm using Windows Vista Business and have had to do a system restore. Since doing so I'm now unable to run Actinic as it's wanting to open a store that is no longer there.

Is there a work around to make Actinic start over? As at the moment Actinic wont run.

Really hope someone can help?

Locate and open the file ActinicMainHelp.chm - double click it and search for 'command line'.
Use the command line method to force Actinic to open another existing site.
ie of this form:
"C:\Program Files\Actinic v8\Catalog.exe" /s Site1

NB: IIRC you may have to play around with the quotes to get the line to work correctly.

(Otherwise a trip to the registry will be required)

I had this problem a few months back.

My solution was to copy the folder of another site and rename it to the site that wouldn't open.

Start Actinic which will then load the copied site and allow you to change sites.
