Fixing background image to centre of page

Hi, I've got a background image (rougly 800x800px) that displays fine (repeated and fixed) and I really want it to remain centred when the browser window is widened, so it basicaly remains in the middle of my 760px width (executive) design. Can anybody direct me or provide me with any code that could enable this please?

I found a few threads but they didn't address my issue AFAIA - I'm aware the image becomes a variable once selected but I cannot seem to find a location to apply div/position, fixing/non repeating etc to the image.

    many thanks, Sean

go to www.cssplay.co.uk and browse that website.
all he does is examples of "css-style" that works.

from memory, there was tricks to making it centered and making centered if anyone re-sizes the browser. - the example given was a rabbit centered in the page if that helps

just found it, its at http://www.cssplay.co.uk/layouts/background.html

Thanks Kevin - i've got it placed/fixed where I want now - though i've hardcoded it into the sitemap and contents pages instead of creating a class as i'd of liked to - i'll get there eventually! Sean
