    Problem on CGI Script

Hi. I changed yesterday the type of my server (to have a biggest one, as we have more and more traffic). All information are the same, I just have to dowload the information from the previous one, and upload to the new one. I did this yesterday evening. I got some orders yesterday evening, so I think that all is correct on the new site. But when I try to dowload orders I get the message "Actinic received a server error from the web server. The CGI scripts are not executing properly on the server".
I have generated again cgi script and transfered the CGI scripts to the CGI-BIN on my web server. Then I run Web / Configure Web Site Details : all is OK during analysing website, until email setup. When I have the windows for mail server, I get an error "an error occured while sending an http request to the web server ..." and i must cancel. But all previous test are OK.
The test in the advanced network setup is also OK : "Actinic Mail Test completed successfully"
    What must I do ?
    Thanks
    Didier

None of your cgi scripts appear to be working at the moment.
Back to basics I think - first check your permissions on the acatalog and cgi-bin directories.

All persmissions are the same that before : 705. No change. and effectively when I try to add a product into the basket there is no possibility !

        705 or 755? (typing mistake I presume)

Did you run a network test (not the wizard) - does it give any errors?

Hi. Very strange ! All permissions were at 755 on the previous site. Now need to be at 705 to work ! Don't understand why, but it works now !
Just a question : I change all *00001.pl to 705. What must be the permission for others files such as perlscrip.pl etc ?
          Thanks

You should only need to change the permissions of the cgi-bin folder - Actinic should set the rest. All the .pm and .pl files in the cgi-bin are usually 755.

705 just excludes the Group setting which I don't think is used anyway.

            Glad it's now working.

Thank you Duncan. I don't know why I have to change permissions for all files, changing the permission for the folder doesn't affect the files permissions.
              Thanks again. Didier

I think Duncan is saying - change the permissions on the acatalog and cgi-bin folders and then refresh the site - this will have the effect of you changing the folders and the refresh with correct permissions wil allow actinic to set the files correctly
