Problem with Sale text...

I'm having problems with the Marketing 'Sale' message not being displaid for duplicate products.

I have set up a CART CONTENT discount of 20% off ALL PRODUCTS and the Discount message is now shown correctly in the preview against each original product. Unfortunately, duplicates have no Discount text displaid at all - as I have not updated the website I cannot test to see whether a discount is actually applied to duplicate items or not.

Am I missing something here?

What version are you using - early versions have duplicate problems. If you are not on the latest version then upgrade if you are then use test mode to upload and see if the site works.

You should be ok with this. Sounds like a layout problem - have you customised the duplicate layout??

Hi Mal,

The Discount message came up twice with each product, once above the description and once below the quantity box. I deleted the first instance and now can't remember where the variable went!

In any case, I don't want the message to come up twice per product, it makes the page look very messy. Maybe I deleted the wrong one - how can I stop it showing twice?

Hi Florian,

Take a backup and try re-inserting the code in your layout:

<actinic:block if="%3cactinic%3avariable%20name%3d%22DiscountDescriptionIsShownForProducts%22%20%2f%3e">
<br /><actinic:variable name="DiscountList" value="Standard Discount List" />
</actinic:block>

Maybe above the add to cart button layout - but it depends really on how everything is currently set.
