Component Link in Shopping Basket, Back to Main Product

We want to use the "No order line for main product" option on a number of our products, primarily because we are trying to link actinic to an Epos system and it's causing problems having lines that aren’t really ordered / exist in the exports.

However I don't want to loose the link in the shopping basket back to the main item. Has any one manage to create a link yet?

If not would it be possible to:

1, In the shopping basket to show the name of the main product in the same line as the component with a link.
2, Have the shopping basket ignore "component as separate order" and "No order line for main product", so it shows everything all within one line any.

I understand this could duplicate information in the shopping basket when a main product has more than one components as seperate order lines, but this shouldn't be a problem.

I don’t want to remove the links in the basket, because we have a large site and customers may not find there way back to where they where. If anyone has any ideas, it would be much appreciated.

    Cheers

    in a word, no

I've asked this before and it will only show a link to a main product if the main product is in the cart not if the associated (hidden) product is in there.

If anyone comes up with a solution, I'm interested too because currently my cart is half links, half not

CSS specific to the page could make them all look the same if that's what part of the annoyance is for you.

well, not quite the solution I was looking for. I'm happy with the links..not bothered about the visual difference... I just want them ALL to hyperlink.

Thanks Tracey, I've seen you earlier posts, but though I would ask just incase some had found an indirect approach. I want to leave the links in the basket, so will just have to find away of editing the export.

            Add my vote.

This would be really useful as I have half a cart full of links too!
