Actinic customer accounts/external database

i am using actinic version 8.0.1.0.0.0.gjha and have a couple of questions that i hope someone will be able to help me with.

1/ i have a customer database that i have created on excel it has been ordered by name, address, town, county and post code, there are no telephone numbers or email addresses.
is it possible for me to import this data into actinic and create customer accounts for the purpose of mail shots.

2/ i when i create a customer account in actinic i have to copy and paste the customers name from the main contact to the name box above. when i print the labels the customers name appears twice.
am i doing somthing incorrectly.

Hi Ian,

Both the telephone number and the email address fields are mandatory for the creation of a customer account. You will need this information to be able to set up the account.

I am not sure about the second issue as I am unable to replicate the scenario you are describing.
