Stock control problem

Hi people

I need a bit of help with stock control in actinic catalog version 8. I know actinic can be set to use stock control but we sell handbags online and we want to be able to set each colour with its own stock level. At the moment if we have a bag in and we have 4 black 2 brown and 2 red we can only put it on actinic as 8 in stock, but that means we can receive orders for 8 red before it will show that it is out of stock. Is there any way of giving each colour its own stock level?

Anyone got any ideas?
