Help - Permissions for home page

Hi,

I have had major problems with trying to upload a catalogue and last night wiped the acatalog folder and now i cannot access my home page here
www.gaynors-goodies.co.uk
I think this is a permissions problem as i get the following message when trying to access my home page.

Can you help as i need to load the catalogue up from fresh.
My host is closed until monday.

The first step is to get an ftp program (there are free ones around for download) and check the permissions on the acatalog and cgi-bin folders.

Usually actinic will work fine with them both set to 755. (644 is no good).

Read around the forum for more info on permissions if needed.

My homepage is outside of the acatalog folder and is just on the main server
under /www.gaynors-goodies.co.uk/public_html/index.html

In order for me to upload the catalogue i need to set the permissions for this page to show up on the server, what should the permissions be please for an index page?

You can set the public_html to be 755 if you want to and see if it makes any difference. It shouldn't be necessary though, 644 should be fine.

I can see your home page so are you sure it isn't a server problem that's being fixed.
