2 Payment method pages

At www.boxergirl.co.uk when a product is ordered on checkout page 2 there is a payment method section that requests credit card details which shouldn't be there as the site is setup to use Actinic inbuilt encryption.

Not only shouldn't it be there, the credit card type has two dropdowns the first not functioning as it shouldn't be there.

Once details are entered it goes onto the Actnic inbuilt encrypted page requesting the details that have just been entered.

Don't worry about solving that, get yourself dragged forward at least 3 years and get rid of it. Even Actinic tell you not to use that for processing payments, utter madness to use that method nowadays. This problem is a blessing in disguise and you should see it as such, you haven't even got SSL. Get yourself a PSP sorted out and stop all of those abandoned transactions occurring.

LOL i will keep this crappy process if i want to. Now answer my question so i can show you all how stubborn i am and how closed i am to suggestions that will improve things massively.

Provide a screenshot of your payment and security settings, odds on there is a mistake in there, you probably have 2 methods clashing with each other. I guess you're telling it that you will use SSL but you are not, plus you are also asking for the actinic Java encryption.

I would suggest that you look at reverting the checkout layouts back to factory settings.

Did you upgrade your website to version 8? My guess would be yes!

Actinic has it's checkout layout knickers in a twist here - I have seen something similar before.
Identify the layouts involved (use the design tab and click on the credit card drop down area to identify) and then revert to factory default in Library for said layout.

Remember and snapshot before proceeding though - just in case.

Click the 'Configure Method' button on the top choice and tell/show us what it says. You are not viewing cached info as it is the same for me online also. It's either mixed up and needs a refresh or there is something that has gone titsup on your checkout page. Have you made any alterations at all? I think the answer will be behind the configure method button though to be honest.

The configure method is Actinic Inbuilt Encryption as shown in attached screenshot

I still suggest the layouts need reverting to resolve the issue

As Lee mentioned earlier, the Actinic inbuilt encryption is really not a good option. I'd think of it as an emergency, last port of call option when existing SSL or PSP routes fail.
Even then it is preferable to simple collect order and contact customer for card details - more secure that way!

I'd agree with Fergus, especially if it is an upgraded site (you never mentioned). Revert the checkout pages to factory standard and do a web refresh as your next step, it certainly looks confused about things at the moment.
