Add to Cart Confirmation page

Hi All,

I've been searching the forums but can't find what I'm after...

Basically, when some adds a product to the cart, i want to take off the redirect and replace with a "Continue shopping" button and a "Checkout" button (roughly how it looks on the view cart page).

How do I do this?

Go to Design / Design Options / Shopping Mode and set Bounce page delay to 0.

The built-in Help covers this under "Changing The Way The Store Pages Work".

In the help topics under "Bounce Page" it says:

"This controls how long a customer sees the shopping cart before being returned to the store page.

If you set this to '0', then as soon as you add a product to the cart, you will be shown an editable shopping cart."

I have set mine to 0, but when i add a product to the cart, it doesn't redirect (which is good) but it isn't an editable shopping cart, and it still says: "Please wait for your browser to forward you to the next page or click here."

I had this problem until following this and other threads.

Problem was rectified as soon as changed bounce to 0, and also made sure each section has quantity on product page option.

Now go directly to the editable cart.

If there is a way I can set the "add to cart confirmation page" so it redirects to the shopping cart page, this will kill two birds with one stone.

Is this possible?

When I do that, it doesn't change anything for some reason :S

How have you uploaded and tested in that time?
After adding to cart on all the sites i know, you get the option to change quantity or remove the product. I presume you have changed something somewhere. I get this as standard if i remove the bounce page.

This is the site im trying to get it to work on www.w3dgk.com/fuchsiatree - How do you mean "remove the bounce page", can I remove it completely?

What I've done on the above link is set the bounce delay to '0' and selected the 'Quantity in Shopping Cart' option. Look what I get!

If you have no patience for new learners, then don't bother replying to my threads. I did everything you said, and it stopped bouncing. So I'm currently playing with other options.

Look at my attachment - That's what I've done. Now, try adding a product to the cart. You'll see that it it doesn't work!

If you cannot go to that site and see that it is still bouncing (rather than telling me to go and try), then you are certainly beyond my patience levels.

I can see that it's still bouncing! That's what my problem is, even when setting the options as you said, it still bounces.

Try a web refresh then, its probably confused at 14 different settings thrown at it in past half hour. I have many many examples in front of me confirming what i have said is true Lee.
