Having to confirm popup changes while uploading

Hi, I recently introduced a new layout to extended info on my site, to try and combat a popup issue.

Anyway, now each time I upload, I have to go through loads of confirmation prompts.



I understand why I would have had to do it the first time, but can't understand when its uploaded I have to go through it all again. Should I do a site refresh?

I thought compacting only worked on the local db.

I just tried it and the issue still exists. Do I need to go through it all again?

compacting the database will eliminate errors from the DB prior to upload.

Compacting may not fix this.

The warning tells you that 2 Products are using the same page name for the popup page. This may be what you intend to happen (unlikely) but is probably an error in that 2 popup pages have somehow been set to the same file name.

The way to fix this is to note down the products in question and manually rename one of the extended info pages.

Thanks, I will try that, but there are loads of them.

it happens quite often if you're copying and pasting products for editting.
I find it happens rather randomly. Sometimes it renames the extended info with the product reference rename, sometimes it doesn't.

I agree though that the only real way to fix it will be to remove the duplicated extended info page names unless you mean to have them the same.

I did a search in actinic for a few of the products that needed confirmation, and they all have different extended info page names on my local copy?? Its as if they the local and remote pages are not synchronizing.

Do you have Duplicates of these products? You may need to search for all instances.

Yes, there are duplicates but the extended info pages are names differently.

I have compacted and am now uploading now.

It would be good if I could do a global change to initialize all extended info pages, then switch them back on again of something.

it might be easier to export the catalog and see if you can spot the duplicates in Excel instead?
