updating website error

hi,
i was just updating my website with some new data as i have done many times before.
as the software is going through ticking its boxes i am getting an error
FTP ERROR PASSWORD NOT ALLOWED.

can someone let me know what this means and how i correct it please.

Probably just a blip with your host, give it half hour and try again.

if lee's suggestion doesn't work you should contact your host and ask if they have changed your FTP password - or just ask what it is so you can be sure you are using the correct one
