Using Section Names rather than Product Names for Homepage 'New Products'

Is it possible to have the New Products on our homepage substitute their ProductName for their SectionName? It's a long story but I'd like to alter my Mini New Products Item Layout and simply swapping 'Product Name' for 'Section Name' doesn't seem to be doing it.

As you can tell I'm no expert, but I have been at this for hours; it's five to midnight and I'm still in the office!

Trawled a bit for you as I'd seen something about marketing links and sections.

I can't imagine that just substituting section name will work as there's no link to the product (may need script), but there are loads more qualified people than me to judge.

Anyway, here's the link I was thinking of. May not be of any use, but it does give you an idea of how to link marketing lists to their relevant sections and you may be able to tweak it?
