    Redundant CSS

Has anyone used this before? It's an add on for Firefox that checks for redundant CSS selectors.

    If so, any comments?

    thanks

Looks like a useful utilty, although I'm not too concerned about unsed styles if they are standard ones that I may wish to use at another time. I look at the css file as a library of my usual styles etc.

I'm going to give that add-in a try and see how it works.

I'd be interested in how it handles generated content through CGI-BIN.
On the face of it, It looks like a clever bit of kit

        Evening Duncan

I was thinking mostly in terms of cutting out CSS from bloated Actinic stylesheets that seem to include a whole pile of stuff that I don't think ever gets used.

I'll be trying it as well - I just thought I'd ask if anyone has already used it.

I gave this a go this morning and it seemed to work quite well so long as you have an xml sitemap for it to follow. I haven't verified the results but it looked correct on the face of it.

Be even better if it could trim the css file automatically.

Like Duncan, I've had a play with it and I think that this is key to it being the tool we would all like.

Update - it can actually follow the actinic generated sitemap.html page as well but of course you would need to ensure that you have included your brochure pages in the sitemap.
