Does V8 support split SSL?

Hi there,

I have my site running on one domain:
eg. http://www.site1.com/acatalog/

and my checkout is on a shared ssl link:
eg. http://www.site2.com/sitename/acatalog/

It runs fine on actinic V7 but a number of posts in this forum suggest that v8 has trouble reading cookies as the checkout is on a different domain so cannot access the cookie data gathered whilst shopping.

Is this the case?! Or is it fine - on all browsers etc.?

yes this will work in v8.

you can cross urls once you are in the checkout, you do not trigger SSL until the purchaser is ready to commit.

you get the cookie error outside of SSL when jumping from www to non www urls - which is probably what you have read about
