Apologies for the lengthy post but I am completely bogged down with this.
I have three levels of Delivery charge for my B2B logged in Customers.
Group 1 pay 12.50 - same as non logged in customers
Group 2 pay 7.50 for the first 100.00 then free - "S/O Group"
Group 3 have free delivery - "F/D Group"
FIRST IDEA
I have tried to approach this by setting Delivery Zones - We only deliver to the UK so
Zone 1 is "UK" - standard delivery 12.50
Zone 2 is "UK - S/O" with the split as mentioned above
Zone 3 is "UK - F/D" for free delivery.
Delivery and Invoice addresses are set using these countries - logged in customers have only one invoice address.
My problem arises at checkout when Actinic prompts for a Delivery Location.
What I would like to do is to assign delivery location by default using the Logged in cutomer Invoice Address Country for logged in customers and plain "UK" for eveyone else.
I realise that this is tampering with the checkout area which I suspect is foolish to say the least and quite possibly a cardinal sin.
SECOND IDEA
Creat a product "Carriage" with the right prices, using Customer groups and discounts to meet the rules. Automatically assign 1 of this product to every order.
I've tried doing this using the "Gift Wrap" model but I don'y know how to add the product to every order without actually selecting it, and I haven't actually got the Gift wrap model to work yet.
Thanks for your help with this
