        It must be Friday

Sorry Grace, no offence, but that was about the funniest thing I've read all day (which just goes to show how boring my day has been, I suppose)

Not a constructive post either (mine, that is) but that's because I'm cooking tea

Images too big a file size
Dont use numbers for product names - they mean nothing to searchengines

You are in a marketplace where the site and the products must ooze class from all angles, a visitor needs to hit your site and get the wow factor like walking into your local wedding dress shop.

I feel like i am walking into a builders yard with yours. The header looks like a silk cut advert, it is incomplete and is plain awful, the images are just brash with no class - the watermark on the images is truly dire.

You are trying to get people to spend hundreds of pounds on your dresses, in that price range you MUST present no reasons whatsoever for them to leave or worry.

It looks plain cheap and to be brutally honest, this kind of site and look typifies what i hate about actinic, in that it gives site owners a belief that web design is easy, press a few buttons and you can have a website. Do yourself a massive favour, take a long reality check and contact someone who knows what they are doing. You do all the product input part and let them do the design - you are so far off the mark. If you do the product input, you will keep costs down and for a £1-2k spend you will achieve so much more.

With any website you MUST take a look at your competition, the top 20 websites in your industry will look nothing like yours - learn from that. It may be harsh, you may not like it, but that site will never achieve anything in your marketplace, get it sorted now and in 3 months time, you might just have a smile on your face.

There's some lovely images and some real scope to achieve something. Hell if you can get it looking half decent, i'll even list you in a wedding directory i control to get you started and hopefully drive some traffic to your site.

The images are too big and that bloody watermark is the worst i have ever seen, it actually focuses your attention on the watermark more than the product - that's criminal as the base image is OK.

You are trying to sell wedding dresses by using a cricket bat, but you actually need some fluffy teddy bears and some petals, Soften it up, take the hard edges away, give it some class.

PS - Bumpsy dream on, you found the one nutter in the world, there isn't another one out there sweetheart.

Am I going blind or is there really a whole section of pages like this http://www.gracefashionshop.com/acatalog/18960.html that have no prices on them?

OK. I've now tried adding it to cart and there's no price there either.

If I was a potential customer I'd be off to try and find somewhere else.

Have to agree on the photos, way too big and too many at different sizes which makes the whole site look disjointed, some pics have borders and some don't.

Watermark, yes its awful, completely ruins the picture, if you really must have watermarks they need to be actual watermarks and just subtle in the bottom right hand corner in my opinion. In reality, who is likely to pinch your photos and if they do then so what, I take it they are supplied from your supplier anyhow!

The logo at the top is not the worst I've seen but does look a bit cheap for the stuff you are selling.

I was in the same boat recently so I got someone else to do the web design whilst I just get on with loading products, still not the best but much kinder to the eye IMO and my customers spend an average of £15.

So, get a designer to work some magic and set up your photos and text editing properly and you'll be there in no time!

                      Cheers

Im not after the job but I would suggest that you write out a specification for the design you want and contact designers direct. This means that you both know exactly what you are talking about.

Thats more like the site I'd spend £500 at. I'm sure there are tons of folk on here who will offer their services to you.

For information I used Rob at www.matrix23.co.uk because I liked some of the other sites he'd built, found him quite easy to work with too!
