    Coding Error can't find

Hello. When I run the Check Coding Errors in Design, the checking stops at "miscellaneous page Works Best with Smart . ." near the end of the checking, and will not continue. I cannot find this "miscellaneous page". I cannot find any page where the exclamation mark turns from grey to red. Any ideas as to where I might find this mysterious "miscellaneous page" or how to go about looking for it? I am using the latest version 8 and Smart theme.

If this is an upgraded site then it may well be a V7 hangover -

      Yes, upgraded, but . . .

Hello.Yes, it was upgraded from V7 by importing snapshot but using new theme. Still, any ideas about how I find the error to correct it?

Apply a new theme and then reapply the smart one and see what happens. What messages did you get through the upgrade?

Have you tried double clicking on the error when it puts the message on screen?

Message is not a message so not clickable

I didn't get any message about "miscellaneous . . " when upgrading, and I didn't receive a "message" when I did Check Coding Errors, so there was nothing clickable. As I said in the first post, when I run Check Coding Errors it freezes near the end at the point "miscellaneous . . ."; it is not a message; there is nothing to click; the Check Coding Errors does not finish - I have to abort it.

Do my other suggestion then, it's probably just confused itself for some reason.

Have you searched the library for a layout with the name "misc page etc" and see if it is there. May also be worth opening the advanced theme editor and seeing if the layout is being applied there .. I have had this issue on an upgraded site and simply deleted the layout and changed where it is being assigned to use the main layout instead.
