Making prodcut list layout link to products

I am using the layout Product list with horizontal dividers and can't figure out how to make this list link to the products?

    Thanks.

That doesn't make sense Lewis, you want products to link to themselves? Can you expand or explain a bit better? You are talking about a layout that is used to display products, that would not link to the products as it displays them, nothing else.

      Sorry for the confusion.

Say the list of products is like this:

      ProductA
      ProductB
      etc.

As it is now this list is just text, there are no links. I want ProductA in the list to link to the product page with further information on ProductA.

Again this query relates to www.hoseworld.com

i'm only giving you a hint, becasue your url is magical.

try looking at the other templates where a link occurs on a product. copy the things you find there and paste them into your template.

I think you might be talking about Single product per page setup, but your explanation is quite poor, which is why i guess most people are wondering WTF you are on about. Search the forum on 'SPPs' or single products per page, there is also a method explained in the AUG, IF indeed this is what you are asking.

OK, if no one can understand this can someone please just tell me how I go about changing the product listing? For example here, http://www.hoseworld.com/acatalog/LI...NG__GREY_.html I want either a fuller description or a link to the individual product page.

Hope that makes sense this time, thank you for the help.

Ah, you want to choose an alternate Product Layout. Click on that product in the navigation pane on the left (you may have click (+) plus signs first to expand the section and product page, then make your selection on the Layout tab for that product.

I assume you have setup for single products per page and want to have a link to that page.

if your using the extended info as the products page you need to go to the design tab and add the ExtendedInformationLinks variable where you want the more info link to be and if your using the sub section method you would need to add something like this:

                  Code:
                  <a href="<actinic:block if="%3cactinic%3avariable%20name%3d%22IsLoginPageSuppressed%22%20%2f%3e%20AND%0d%3cactinic%3avariable%20name%3d%22UnregCustomersAreNotAllowed%22%20%2f%3e" ><actinic:variable name="SectionPageName" /></actinic:block><actinic:block if="%28%3cactinic%3avariable%20name%3d%22IsLoginPageSuppressed%22%20%2f%3e%20%3d%3d%20false%29%20OR%0d%28%3cactinic%3avariable%20name%3d%22UnregCustomersAreNotAllowed%22%20%2f%3e%20%3d%3d%20false%29" ><actinic:variable name="SectionURL" /></actinic:block>" target="_self">More Info...</a>

Well here's a lesson learnt. a smiley at the end of every sentence is actually really annoying. Note to self: Don't do this again

                        JSnow, I don't get it..?

Anyway, I have solved the problem, to be fair the solution was not what I expected - maybe this is why I was poor at explaining it. I changed 'Product Layout' and ... solved.

Any simple tips for how to make the site http://www.hoseworld.com/ better, I only work on the site one day a week so time is a major constraint.

Whats the spinning globe doing exactly? That should be a quick thing to get rid of and the first thing i'd cull. Try and set a theme and illustrate to us what you sell. You could be selling maps, rotating globes or running online geography classes with that logo (amongst many other possibilities), but hoses would be one of the very last i'd expect.
