Quick question on purchase options.
I've had an enquiry about selling carpet online by width (component options with different prices - using associated products) and then length. Aha, I thought, I'll simply use the quantity field for the length. Oh dear, can't do that because the length will be in meters and centimeters.
In a perfect world I'd actually like to to have two 'quantity' boxes, one for the meters and one for the centimeters but I'd settle for the customer having to enter something like - 5.05 for 5m and 5cm.
I've been pondering about whether I could do something clever with a custom variable but I can't get my head around how at the moment.
So, I was wondering if anyone else has come across a similar challenge and, if so, would they mind sharing how they tackled it?
