Site List truncated. Cannot access all Sites.

Using 8.5.1.HIZA on XP Pro.

I have 88 sites in my Sites folder. When I try to change site, I can only see 63 sites listed in the File / Sites dialogue. When I look in sites.ini all 88 entries are there but only the first 63 are displayed.

If I edit sites.ini and remove the first 10 entries, I still see 63 entries displayed (now including 10 that were missing earlier).

Is anyone else with a huge number of sites seeing this and does anyone know a fix?

Hi Norman,

Sory for the delay in getting back to you on this. To be honest, I have not heard of this issue before as I dont think anyone tested Actinic with 50+ sites . I will have this checked by development and keep you updated.

This appears to be an issue that would need coding in the source to correct the display. There is no work around other than what you are already doing with Sites.ini. It has been put down as a bug and should get into the next maintenance release.

This actually explains a weird problem we had a while back - however we just cleared out the site list, backing up to snapshots instead of tweaking ini file.

It won't take Norman ten minutes to split the ini list into two text files and write a little script to read the appropriate one into sites.ini when he wants to swap...

What you need is a simple VB app that reads the site lists from the two ini files and displays them in a list so you can select which site you want. It then swops to the correct ini file.

It sounds like you can keep one ini file and just shift the first few entries to the end when you need to see the other ones.
