Lost my index.html page by mistake! help..!

    Hi all,

whilst trying to create a self designed index.html page for my cart,
i accidentally deleted the index page generated by actinic!!

How do i get Actinic to upload the index page it uses(brochure page with fragments etc)????
have tried to set page as home page on the house icon's general tab!

    many thanks

    Andrew

Press the upload button in Actinic.

You may have to configure Network Settings if you have not already done so.

Andrew, you're going to need to give us more to work on.

        - Where did you delete the index.html file? On the server or on your 'tree' in Actinic.
        - What exactly is the permission error? i.e. Which file/directory is it complaining about?

What happens when you run a network test? This should indicate any network problems.

if you've "deleted all files", chances are you've removed your acatalog and cgi-bin folders which could be why you're getting "file not found" and permission errors.

you may need to recreate these where you deleted them from (giving them permissions of 755) and try, as Mike says, a network test to fix the problems there first

            Hi all & thanks

Mike - i deleted the index file in my web root on server and replaced it with one i had designed(i didnt backit up! big mistake)
the permission error is basically saying - md000001.pl not found...
i assumed any scripts would have been uploaded on a clean upload?
i can also confirm that Actinic is passing ALL network test with no errors...
bear in mind this all worked flawlessly for the last 6 weeks and until i made this booboo!

            budgetbumps

all folders + permissions are set.....it didnt work even when i just had cleaned out folders contents...

That shouldn't be a problem. Actinic creates a new index.html page itself and should upload the file automatically.

Actinic gives you 2 options for uploading. 'Update' which just uploads stuff that's changed, and 'Refresh' that uploads everything. Which have you been trying?
