Beta refresh and upgrade.

A few questions...

1. Will the beta be refreshed, or is this the only version?
2. If I buy V8 now, will I get an upgrade to V9?
3. What happens during the upgrade process if you have made code changes to change functionality as covered by various parts of this forum?
4. Is there a release date yet for V9?

1. Will the beta be refreshed, or is this the only version?

As nothing terminal has been found in the beta, this could well be the only version. The bugs that have been found so far are in the process of being fixed in the final version.

2. If I buy V8 now, will I get an upgrade to V9?

You need to talk to the sales team about this (0845 129 4848). Upgrades to v9 are included in Actinic Cover, but there may be offers available for buying after the beta program was started.

If you've made changes in v8, they will be upgraded. However, we can't upgrade code changes made in the v9 beta.

4. Is there a release date yet for V9?

The beta programs usually last a month or so. We'll announce a date nearer the time when we have more of an idea about the stability of the software (which, at the moment, is looking pretty good).
