a thought on a 404/301 layouts

just had a thought

in V9 can we have a standard layout for 404 or even 301 pages

so we have it ready built with logo etc
and the standard " page not found please click here" you have a small area/fragment to insert custom text and Bosh your done

for 301 you could insert old url in a box, put in new url and it amends accordingly
possibly adding to the htaccess file ready for upload?

The best way to do this is to maybe set up a brochure page that contains the text you want.

You then put a condition in your brochure page list that says 'do not link to this page if it's name is 'xxxx'

You can then change your server settings to use this page as your 404 page.
