    flat file import hanging

    Hi all,

    Anyone experiencing v9 hanging whilst performing a flat file import? The import routine runs but snags at various points and you haveto force quit the app and relaunch it. Its taken me about 10 attempts at import to bring in about 1000 product lines.

    Could you zip up the import file and send it over to v9.beta@actinic.co.uk ?

      Hi John

      I just managed to import this with only one error:
      Line 390: Incompatible information in field 4 ("Price"). Expected number between -2147483648 and 2147483647, but got "101,360"
      One thing I did notice though is when I first went to do the import, it was mapping 'Product Reference' to 'Original Product Reference'. This is because the default store was auto-generating product references. Once I set Actinic to allow manual references, the file went in with only the one error.

      This might be worth checking.

        Hi Chris,

        no luck, rectified the error causing the error you got, but this time actinic crashed completely I'll mail the dump file. I'll give it another go see what happens sencond time round.

          Can I get you to try it again with a clean database? I wonder if the faulty import may have caused some kind of corruption.

          Copy a clean db from the 'Program Files\Actinic v9\Original' folder and then try the import again - turning off auto generation of product references first.
