Actinic Checkout - Speedup Process

replace the first occurrence of:

with:

$('input[@name="ACTION_NEXT"]').click(); 

I tried that.

Ship to my address:
Unchanged version - screen goes blank. Modified version: screen flashes, (in a loop?) you can see it asking for 'Card Number is REQUIRED' etc.

Ship to a different address:
Unchanged version - works. Modified version: goes back to the product page that you were on.

You can't see this - was on a live site, now reverted to original - I can only test in the early hours!

I forgot to mention that the code is only supposed to be used if you have one external psp (where you do not enter the credit card on your own site)

Your checkout process is quite slick as it is! What steps were you trying to remove?

Originally when John launched this thread I thought I had to have some of it - there has always been comment about the Checkout process. I have only ever used the standard offering not knowing any different.

My stages/pages are either:

1) Location (different Delivery Address not selected)
2) Cardholder Name/Address
3) Card Details & [Submit]

or

1) Select Location AND different Delivery Address selected
2) Cardholder Name/Address
3) Delivery Address + Card Details on same page & [Submit]

I suppose I was hoping (fully understand now that this was not your agenda) that as Card Details are entered on the Delivery Address page, perhaps your fix was going to do the same with the Cardholder page, thereby saving a page for the majority of orders.

I was expecting that using your script would make it necessary for me to edit the templates to adapt to the process.

Better still would be to have the Location Select / Delivery Option Select at the top of the Cardholder Page, but I suppose Actinic needs that stage to calculate shipping (that I currently don't use).

Can anyone advise how I can change the return point to the start of checkout "Select delivery destination" rather than the "Delivery Address" page if a customer cancels from PROTX?

Otherwise this looks a great improvement.

Sorry, we haven't got a V7 site anymore (and I can't even find the discs now), we will be running it in V9, but after Easter as Rob is off to New York for SES and I'll probably wait for V9.01 to be released before rushing to fork out the cash

Hi John,

One small problem which I've been trying get an answer to.

If customer cancels out of the PSP payment, the standard link $CALLBACKURLBACK takes them back to ORDER02 (delviery address) and then the script bounces them back to PSP.

This is clearly not desirable.
Can you recommend where it should be changed - in the OCC script, hard coded, variable ...?

Firstly, I apologise for resurrecting this thread.

However, I wondered if any hacks have been made by yourself (or your developer) for the horrible v9 checkout procedure? I'm looking to make the checkout as easy as possible for the customer without having to go through so many pages.
