IE6 not showing basket contents/total?

I have found a strange error while testing my site. The "My basket" located at the top right of my site isnt displaying any values in IE6 when a product is in the shopping basket.

In IE7 and Firefox its displays fine. Its not a display issue rather that IE wont display the correct values?

For example IE7 and firefox would show:

Total: £100
Items: 1

Where as IE 6 displays:

Total: 0
Items: 0

Any ideas why this is happening?

A known issue with IE6, something to do with a security setting on the browser we think. 50% of people seem to get this, 50% do not.
