I just want to clear up a couple of issues with the beta programme, and the release of the second beta version. Sorry I didn't mention these in the communications yesterday.
License Keys
There are no test license keys available for this version of the software. You'll be able to test all the features of Catalog, Business and Designer - and also test upgrading from v7/v8 - but you won't be able to set up multiple test sites.
Upgrading from Betas
There is no guarantee you will be able to keep any of the work done during the beta programme. The programme is designed as a way for us to check the software works in a wide variety of environments, and a chance for you to see the new features and start to think about the process of upgrading. Unfortunately, we just cannot cater for working on a beta, and then taking that work forward to a production release.
As reported already, snapshots from beta 1 can't be imported into beta 2 due to differences in the database structure between the two versions. Some customers have managed to upgrade their data by installing beta 2 over the top of beta 1, but there could be other issues with that which we are not aware of at the moment.
Our Technical Support department will not be able to assist with problems caused by upgrading beta data to the final v9 production release. However, once you start working on the production version, we are at your disposal.
