    v9 Question

I was looking on the Actinic web site in the spec of v9 and it says, "User logon for catalogue management".

what does this mean? can I logon from any computer and alter the catalogue in the web browser???

    Thanks,
    Jack

Not using standard actinic Jack, no, but Actinet (a new plugin off Gabe) can for you. That is referring to logon on the desktop.

Thanks for the kudos mr hack.

Yup, you can log in and view orders and edit items with your browser with Actinet. Its an unlimited user Intranet interface, and looks very similar to Actinic, so its easy to use. Here is the link:

As well, we have a solution on the cards to allow customers to log in and view their own data.

In collaboration with Teclan, we're working on a true customer login system, with order history, and order details.

At the moment, the first stage, our data syncing plugin is available, if you feel you can create (or get a developer to create) your own frontend on this data.

        "User logon for catalogue management".
It means that you can set a password on startup of the software to stop un-authorised users getting access (Settings | Business Settings | Options | Enable Logon and Card Encryption).
