add to mailing list in checkout - html/txt

anyone worked out a way to additionally ask peeps in the checkout when they tick to be added to mailing lists if you can additionally choose html or txt email

spam filters are such nowadays that pretty html ones can get stuck in filters etc - personally if i get a choice i always opt for txt

Good question, my initial reaction was three radio buttons offered instead - no thanks, yes please (html format) or yes please (text format). You can stay in the confines of the scripts then. There will probably be better options though.
