Moving separate installs to v9

We currently have our main web shop split in two so one PC does design, and the other does order processing. With v9, I'd like to move them into a single database so that either PC can order process. (I understand I'd have to buy another user - hopefully there's a trial period to prove it first.)

What is the proper procedure to do things to make this happen properly?

You will need Business Plus with two clients (one is included). YOu would have the database on one machine and then log into the same database from the other machine.

That makes sense, but how do I keep the design and orders together. Do I have to export the orders and then merge them and then upgrade, or upgrade and then merge?

Export from the design PC and import into the other - you can select not to import orders.

Backup both first!
