V9 Protx Bug - Does Not Work

Just finished uploading our new V9 site here:

    www.sweetswholesale.co.uk

and when you try to make payment through PROTX I get the following error:

This transaction attempt has failed. Please use the Proceed button go back to the web store from which you were purchasing. The details of the failure are given below.

    Status: MALFORMED

Status Detail: 3045 : The Currency field is missing.

Does anyone know how to fix this or am I stuck until Tuesday when Actinic re-opens ?

ps Just tried to file a support query and the form does not work in firefox 2.0.0.12

did you searc the forum for the error message?
I found THIS THREAD with a possible solution but no feedback as to whether the solution given was successful or not.

Either way, it's worth following through with.

Is it a brand new V9 site or an upgraded site? If upgraded, from what version?

        oops I missed a step

        Updating OCC Upgrade file

The final step is to change the version number in the 'OCCUpgrade.ini' file, found in the 'OCCUpgrade' directory ('C:\Program Files\Actinic v9'). In some versions of windows the file is only displayed as 'OCCUpgrade', but you can check by looking at the properties. Open it in a text editor as you did when updating the 'OCCProtxScriptTemplate.pl' file.

At the top of this file you will see the following text:
        [Version]
        Number=1045 (for example)

Increment this Number by 1 (so if it was 1045 for example, you will need to change the value to 1046) and save the file.

        It's been a long day

        Will correct and try again

Upgrading will always result in PROTX needing reinstalation

indeed. Upgrading, downgrading, reinstalling, in fact sometimes it feels as though breathing on the damn thing requires a Protx reinstal!

Comes back to my same old comments, why it was ever set up in such a crap way on the 1st place, actinic really need to look at the way psp's are setup, i see no need for them to be done in such a way

I am currently upgrading from 8.50 to 9.03 and from XP to Vista.

I am also updating the protx payment which is normal, however, when I edit OCCUpgrade.ini it will not allow me to save the file. I get a Denied error message.

I think this is more to do with Vista, any ideas?

                Many thanks

FIXED This was to do with security settings with Vista. Turned them off and managed to edit the file.

When you installed the program on vista did you select it for anyone who uses the computer ? Vista is alot tighter on security so if you do not have administrator rights or you have installed in the site folders under the program files directory you will have issues
