    product reference using permutations

Is there an easy way to add an individual product reference to each permutation of a product? Had a search around but not come across anything.

You have to generate hidden products and associate them to the permutations.

In V9, there is a product options tab on the product details dialog, you can use this to quickly enter details for a product and it will generate the permutations and hidden products and automatically link them for you.

        Crikey, is there indeed?!

I do a lot of this in V8 and find it very laborious; Jan - are you saying that V9 has a 'semi-wizard' built in to take the drudgery out of permutations and hidden products?

I've held off upgrading to V9 after reading all the difficulties peeps had with upgrading to V8.5. Is V9 a stable upgrade now, that won't undo/overwrite our layout mods etc?
        Kind Regards

Personally I would advise upgrading after the first patch release has been issued but I know that some people are using V9 on live sites now.
