Pre-Filled Shopping Cart

We quite often get e-mails from customers who are asking us what items they need to carry out a specific job.

Currently, when I answer them I include a list of links to the products found in our on-line shop.

Today, I had a list of 20-odd products and I was wondering if there was a way of pre-filling a shopping cart for them and sending them a link?

No cos it is stored locally in a cookie. Closest you can get is to create a section just for them, duplicate the 20 products into it, change shipping mode into single add to cart and send them the url and say add all on the page.

Your other option is to have stock codes on all of your products, so they type in the stock code to speed it up a bit.

With the new offline ordering screen, i'd expect it will just be quicker to do things over the phone to be honest.

If you are getting similar questions for the same jobs may be worth creating a full-time section on the site with a list of items typically required .... this could be a fragment at the top explaining the job and then a cut down single line list of all the typical items required.
