    Removing Select Shipping Destination Page

All of our products are currently only shipped to the United Kingdom. Have the 'Select shipping destination' page seems to be a bit of a waste. If there any way it can be removed or skipped with a redirect?

    Thanks

This can be done and has definitely been detailed in the forum before. Removing Checkout Page 1 should be your starting search term, see if that gets you anywhere. I think it was Dave Finlayson who detailed how to do it. Probably in the AUG too i expect, have you looked or searched at all or just posted?

Yes of course I've searched. Haven't found anything yet from the forum, there are people who have posted questions about this but no real response. I found something in the Actinic Knowledge Base but non of those condition apply to us:

This page will be bypassed only if the following conditions are true in Settings | Business Settings: -

      - You do not have Shipping or Handling charges.
      - You do not charge Tax.
      - None of the payment methods are Limited by Location.

Any luck finding the Dave Finlayson post?

I haven't looked for it myself. IIRC it hinges on how you do your shipping, if you have simple shipping, then it can be done, if not, then it has to stay. You can get it to have UK auto selected though so user just has to click next. The choices in the drop down hinge on what you have specified if no shipping band is defined.

Yeh, shipping is calculated by value so that out of the question. All the user has to do is click next on it at the moment, and a checkout whether they want it delivered to a different address...

I think you might be stuffed then tbh, unless the Stinky Ink option is of use to you, they recently posted about drastically cutting the process down. V9 operates the same as V8 so should cross over i expect.

Why not split your zones into Scotland, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands etc to utilise this page as it will have to remain as stated above under your current format.

It makes the user interact and can help identify any potential shiiping surcharges that may be required in the future?

That's an idea, I will have a look into adding the different areas like Scotland, Channel Islands etc...

In regards to the Stinky Ink option, I have istalled it on both of the v8 and v9 sites and noticed no difference. It would be great to implement it though.

None of the 'Next' buttons have changed their name so I'm stuck on why it doesnt work...

Yep, it was me alright, this is the post here. I haven't read through your posts properly yet as I don't have time but if you are shipping based on order value you may be better setting up an order level surcharge, also detailed in the post above.
                  Cheers
