V8 Business - Order Processor?

HI,

I can't seem to find anything in v.8 on setting up a user as an order processor? Its in the manual, but theres nothing in "settings" about users.

Am i being stupid, or have i made a mistake.

When you create a user, you tick boxes to say what sort they are destined to be, easy as that.

I dont have any option to set up a user. Does it HAVE to be done when you install actinic the first time?

Are you using V8 Multiuser or V8 Business, if it's the latter, you can ony have a single user and so can't setup an order processor.

Thanks, Im using V.8 Business, but i was assured by actinic that i could set up an order processor. I've tried installing it on another machine, and it says "you have chosen to split ordering across two machines" but there is no user configuration. Are you saying that i can split it, but each machine will have admin rights?

You can only create users if you are using Multiuser. You can have a machine for order processing and a machine for catalog maintenance though, there are some options in settings / business settings that allow you to allow and disallow functions on each machine, they are not password protected though. Read up on split order processing in the help for more details but they key points to bear in mind are that once you split processing, you will not easily be able to use stock control, customer accounts or some of the marketing features (related products for example).
