    Snapshot - Fatal Import Error

A client has sent me a version 8 snapshot , which on import produces the following error message:

The action has aborted because fatal errors were detected. Please contact your Actinic reseller or Actinic Support as appropriate for advice. Files referenced within Actinic (for instance product and section images) which are not located in the current site directory "Site 1" have been included in the backup. These files will be restored into the site directory when imported into Actinic. This means that the locations of the files will need to be manually amended after importing.
    There is 1 Fatal error.

Has anyone come across this problem before? The client did have files external to the site one folder, but this has since been resolved. However, this error still remains.

    Hi,

Does the snapshot import ok? If you have MS Access then you could take a look in the db and check if any of the image fields still contain an image that is referenced outside of the Site1 folder (take a backup first). Check the following tables:

    BrochureFragments
    Catalog Section
Product (there are three image fields in here for the product, thumbnail and ext info image)
    FileList

You could also try deleting the contents of the FileList table to see if it helps but this would mean that the software would send up all files to the web on the next update.

      Hi Tracey,

Despite the error message, the site does appear to import ok.

However, I requested the client compact the Database again and then resend the Snapshot again, and this appears to of resolved the issue.
