    Moving Sites Folder

    Hi

I have installed V9, but forgot to choose where to save the 'sites' folder. I want to move it to my D: drive, is this possible and if so, how?

    Cheers

File | Sites, then click on Sites Directory

If this is greyed out, is this because it is a trial version at the moment?

mmm, could well be but I really could not tell you. You might be better to make a snapshot of where you are and then uninstall/reinstall to the correct directory. Also, take a copy of the current site1 folder just in case.

If you're feeling brave, the sites folder setting is in the Registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / Software / Actinic / Catalog9 / Sites in the string SitesFolder.

You could close Actinic, copy your Sites folder to the new location and then alter this Key. Leave the old folder in palce so it's easy to undo. Only delete the old folder when sure everything is OK.

Backup everything first and only do this if you really know what you're doing.

If it is a trial version you can't export and import the snapshot.

If that's so (not used trial version for some time) you can copy the Site folder to somewhere safe, uninstall, reinstall, replace new Site folders contents with backed-up folder contents.
